Bliss Makeup Melt Jelly Cleanser

For years I have used only 2 makeup removers (aside from when I’m traveling then I swear by the Olay Daily Facial Cloths) – MAC Cleanse Off Oil and Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil and I still absolutely love those, but I was looking for something more affordable to try out. Plus, I think I needed just a little bit of money to qualify for free shipping or something so I decided to give the Bliss Makeup Melt Jelly Cleanser a try.

I’ve been using this for about a month so far. I remember on the very first night I used it, my initial thought was “ooh this smells good”. I rubbed it onto my face (dry) and I could feel this tingling, invigorating feeling. It actually feels nice and refreshing. It takes off all my makeup and then I rinse it all off and cleanse with a cleanser or with my Tao brush & cleanser.

There is something I don’t like about this makeup melt though. Somehow it all dries up fairly quickly on my face. So I’ll do like 2 pumps in my hand and start rubbing it around my face and it’s all good and then a minute later it’s like it all evaporated and my hands get stuck trying to rub product that isn’t there and it’s just my skin with a tackiness. So I don’t really love that. But I do love the smell and the invigorating feeling and it does the job.

The company describes it as:

  • A universal cleanser and eye makeup remover with soothing rose flower that is super gentle, yet amazingly effective – even for the most sensitive skin.
  • Unique milky jelly form balances gentleness with effective cleansing – a great alternative to sensitive skin cleansers that don’t always feel like they get the skin clean.

It is cruelty free and vegan.
