For weeks, maybe even months, I’ve heard people mentioning chelsea boots and where to buy them, which brands, etc. And I never really gave it much thought. But the other day I decided to look up what exactly makes booties “chelsea” boots and then I realized I’ve had them in the past and the white amulet boots I recently bought are probably chelsea boots! Chelsea boots are ankle booties that have elastic side panels and a tab at the back.
I came across these boots when I was looking for a pair similar to ones I saw sold out at another retailer. Those were a modern western boot with buckles. I couldn’t find anything similar that I liked, but I saw these white boots with the amulets and I immediately loved them. I’m happy to report that they are even prettier in person than they were on the website and they’re comfy too!
I’ve worn them a couple of times so far (you got a glimpse of them in yesterday’s post!) and wore them here with a mint waffle knit cropped top and black acid wash jeans.
Boots: Steve Madden via DSW (here) | Top: American Eagle | Jeans: Kohl’s
The amulet strap is adjusted with velcro and I actually undo them to get them on and off so I’m not stretching out the strap too much.
I’ve only worn these boots with jeans so far, but I think they’re going to look so good these fall and winter with leggings, skirts, and dresses. I can’t wait to style them in more ways!
