    Sorel Kinetic Waterproof Boots

Happy Friday! Yesterday was a long day at work. I had parent/teacher conferences from 8am-6pm so it was pretty tiring. I’m hoping today goes by seamlessly and I can just get home to relax (aka do laundry and make dinner). Considering that this past Monday was a snow day, you’d think this week would feel short, but it felt so long! This week has also been really cold. Probably the coldest it’s been in a few weeks with real feel temps in the teens. The cold weather coupled with the snow storm earlier in the week made me want to dedicate a whole post to my Sorel Kinetic Waterproof Boots.…

    Pink

Pink by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring pink high heel boots   As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and people often wear pink to raise awareness. Breast cancer is something that has touched my life personally in many ways so I like to take part. So when Polyvore had their “I Wear Pink for…” style challenge I had to participate! For this pink look I chose a ruffled floral blouse with a gorgeous print featuring pink flowers amongst turquoise and yellow flowers. I didn’t want to go overboard with the pink and look like Pepto Bismol. I styled it with dark wash jeans, a peachy pink faux…

    UGG Quincy Boots

You may remember the Polyvore set I shared a few weeks ago on here featuring the UGG Quincy Boots where I mentioned that I was really lusting over them. I was fortunate enough to get a pair for Christmas and I had to share with you all how I styled them for my first-ever wear on New Year’s Day! Sweater: Aeropostale | Tank Top: The Limited | Pants: American Eagle | Boots: UGG Quincy Boots I love these boots! They are so comfortable (as most UGGs are) but they’re different from my other pairs as these are lace-ups which gives them a totally different look. What’s cool about these is that…

    The New Classics With UGG

The New Classics With UGG: Contest Entry by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring halloween home decor I know most of us are starting (if you’re not already) to get into the holiday spirit, but since it’s technically still fall, I’m going to share this set I put together for the fall featuring UGG! While I think it looks stylish to wear UGGs with shorts, I feel like it’s impractical. So even though I think it can look good at times I also can’t help but think how ridiculous it is whenever I see it too. Because, you’re saying it’s cold enough outside that you need to wear UGGs, but it’s warm enough that…

Kick Up the Leaves (Stylishly) With SOREL

Kick Up the Leaves (Stylishly) With SOREL: CONTEST ENTRY by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring gold wall art The rainy and snowy season will be here before we know it. But being bundled up and wearing practical clothing and accessories doesn’t mean you have to look boring! I have styled SOREL boots before on Polyvore, but I think this is the first one I’m sharing here on the blog. For the Polyvore challenge I chose these red short SOREL boots because they look so simple, sturdy, and stylish. The red is also a nice color for fall – the perfect hue for kicking some leaves. These boots are perfect for the cold,…

    Arrows & Boots

Things have been a little busy and crazy lately, but a fresh look and new boots is just what I needed! If you read my recent fashion inspiration post, I’m trying to have more fun with layers. Tank Top: Forever21 Tee: Mudd – Basic V-Neck Tee (Egret Arrow) via Kohls Cardigan: Chadwicks Pants: Uniqlo Boot Socks: American Eagle Boots: Steve Madden I love the arrows on this t-shirt. I think it’s fun and adorable and the colors on it are muted and perfect for fall/winter. The boots are a recent purchase from this past weekend and I love the cognac color. They were on sale too which makes them even better! You know a girl’s…

    Hunter [Green] Boots

Check out my new boots! These Hunter Boots were an item that I wished for and received for Christmas. The boots (not these specifically, but the brand in general) have been on my radar for quite some time, but I had a pair of rain boots already and didn’t feel I needed another pair. My last pair lasted years, black with multi-colored polka dots and pink trim. Actually, I have a picture of them here from when I tried to go apple picking. They were from Target and entirely too big for me. I ordered them online (it was one of those online only products) before a trip to London with friends back…

    Green & Gold

For years, I shied away from yellow gold and preferred white gold heaps more than yellow. In recent years, while I still love the seamless, classy look of white gold, I’ve begun to really like yellow gold. Yellow gold is perfect for the holiday season with it’s bright shine and it looks so festive. For Christmas yesterday, I wore a bright green cashmere sweater that I got for Christmas. So soft! Uniqlo jeggings that I already owned, off-white boot socks with gold threads and black boots. (Sorry the 2nd photo is a little blurry! I kept it though because I liked the mirror effect) Top: Charter Club via Macy’s (Christmas gift)…

    Asymmetrical Tribal Print Cardigan

I’ve had this asymmetrical tribal print cardigan for 2 years now and I feel like I’ve been seeing sweaters like it everywhere lately. Over the weekend, I wore this while I went Christmas shopping and I swear I saw so many similar sweaters on the racks. I love tribal print and big cardigans are always welcome in the winter. I think it’s so interesting that I’ve had this sweater for 2 years — I actually got it as a Christmas present 2 years ago, and suddenly it’s everywhere! So first, I need to show these cute leggings. They are so comfortable and since so many of my leggings happen to be…

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! It’s hard for me to believe that it’s already Thanksgiving (and the day is almost over at that) time. Time really does fly. As always, I’m thankful for my family and friends near and far and all the wonderful things in my life. This year, as it is my first year of blogging, I am also grateful for all of you! All of the people who take the time to read my posts and visit my little corner of the Internet from all over the country and even all around the world – you really are amazing! It means so much to me and…
