Book Review: A Kingdom of Venom & Vows
I finished the last book in the original A Kingdom of Stars & Shadows series yesterday, A Kingdom of Venom & Vows , and I thought it was a great conclusion.
This post contains some spoilers for books 1 and 2!

A Kingdom of Venom & Vows picks up right where A Kingdom of Blood & Betrayal left off. Adara has been forced to go back with Gavril to the fae kingdom in order to save her father. Gavril thinks he’s winning and bested his half-brother, Evren, by taking his mate away and getting Adara’s Starblessed blood, but she gave all her magic away to Evren as she was taken away.
The book follows Adara as she is tortured for her blood and told she has to marry Gavril in the fae kingdom while trying to figure out how to get out of it and back in the blood kingdom, Evren, Jorah, Sorin, and Thalia plan out a way to rescue Adara. And beyond that they need to figure out a way to stop Gavril and his mother.
I really liked this novel and it was a great ending to the series. I still absolutely adore Adara and Evren and their love is so evident and beautiful. With how stubborn Adara was being for most of A Kingdom of Blood & Betrayal about her feelings for Evren since she was mad at him, it was nice to see them so devoted to each other in this book.
There were some unanswered questions in this book that I’m hoping get answered in the spin-off books. I can’t wait to read Thalia and Sorin’s book that comes out this summer! So while there were a few unanswered questions and some parts that could have been more fleshed out more, all the books are under 300 pages so it’s understandable and I don’t really mind. There is lots of spice, like with the other books, making this a a fun and entertaining fantasy romance.
Read this series if you like fantasy romance with spice, fated mates, the forbidden romance trope (book 1), and found family tropes (books 2 & 3).
