Book Review: Reveal Me

I’m getting close to the end of the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi! It’s crazy to me that I’ve already read 9 books in the series, four of which were novellas including Reveal Me.

Reveal Me is told from Kenji’s POV and picks up right where Defy Me left off. Juliette, Aaron, Nazeera, and Kenji have ended up on a sort of secret area run by Castle’s daughter and her wife and inhabited by their faction of resistance members. The novella focuses on Kenji processing everything that has happened in a short amount of time – learning the truth about Juliette’s past and family, coming to terms with his feelings for Nazeera but also not knowing whether he can trust her or not, and his worry for Adam and James who decided to stay behind when everyone else fled to Castle’s daughter’s base.

I think this novella is going to be a great bridge between Defy Me and the next novel. It even ends on a cliffhanger, which makes me wonder how people read the series seamlessly if they skip the novellas?

Anyway, I’m looking forward to reading the next one!
