Book Review: Tangled Like Us
When I tell you I’ve been waiting to finally get to Jane Cobalt and Thatcher Moretti’s story in the Like Us series, I am not exaggerating. I finished Tangled Like Us a few days ago and loved it.

After 3 books focused on Moffy and Farrow, I was ready to move on and couldn’t wait to get to Jane and Thatcher. In the novel, Thatcher is Jane’s bodyguard and the two are secretly attracted to each other. Not that you would immediately realize because Thatcher is so stoic most of the time. So anyway, they secretly like each other but obviously have not expressed that to each other or anyone because Thatcher is super professional. Plus, after the drama that occurred when Moffy and Farrow got together and Farrow almost lost his job, Thatcher knows it would not go well if they found out another bodyguard got together with a client. But then, Jane’s grandmother puts out a full-page ad in the newspaper for a suitor for Jane. She’s mortified and it also poses a dangerous security risk because now there are even more people following her around and camping out outside her home. The only way to try to get rid of some of these stalkers is if they think she’s in a relationship and unavailable. Jane and Thatcher decide to fake date with the blessing of her family, his twin brother and fellow bodyguard – Banks, and reluctantly his superiors at the security firm.
It doesn’t take long for their fake dating to turn into a real, physical and emotional relationship even though everyone else thinks they are still just doing it for show. Can they end things for real when their fake relationship comes to an end? Will they tell their families and Thatcher’s bosses that they’re together for real?
I loved Thatcher and Jane. They are so opposite and come from different worlds – she grew up incredibly wealthy and a Cobalt which is another world in itself – and he grew up in a working class family in South Philly and served in the Marines. However, even though they are so different they just work together and the chemistry between them is so hot.
I can’t wait to read more about them! Read this if you want a spicy romance with the bodyguard, billionaire, and fake dating tropes.
