Disneyland Day 3

Last Monday was our last day in Disneyland and we spent it split between the two parks. If you missed it, you can catch up on day 1 and day 2. We started off at DCA and rope dropped Radiator Springs Racers again, got some breakfast and yummy coffees, and then rode a few more rides like Guardians of the Galaxy before we headed over to Disneyland around noon. We did a few rides at Disneyland like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Train and got a quick lunch at Bengal Barbecue – the tropical slushy was so good – and then decided to go on Indiana Jones again because the standby line was only 35 minutes. Well it took a bit longer than 35 minutes! It did take about that long for us to get to the front of the line but right when we were next to get put into the spot to be next on the ride something happened (I think kids did something dumb because of the little snippets I was overhearing from workers) and we waited for over 20 minutes for it to start back up again. Then we got on and buckled in and the lights turned on again. We didn’t know if they were going to shut down the ride and we’d have to get off but after about 5 minutes they resumed the ride and we finally got one last Indiana Jones ride in!

We got off the ride in time to make it for our lightning lane for Big Thunder and then we went back over to Galaxy’s Edge to get the popular Black Caf Cold Brew and Grogu Cookies. I’m not normally a white chocolate person but those Grogu macarons with white chocolate coating were delicious. We walked around some more and then went to get a few other food items on our check list – the croissant cookie and garlic cheesy pretzel bread from Maurice’s Treats! I definitely liked the pretzel bread more than the croissant cookie.

Then we headed back to DCA and finally rode the Pixar Pal-a-Round (the ferris wheel) and went on one of the swinging cars! It wasn’t too bad and was kinda fun but after a while while we were swinging waiting for people to load/unload I felt like I would get sick if I didn’t get off soon lol. Then, we rode Incredicoaster again! After that it was prime time to get some nice photos of the ferris wheel and Pixar Pier as it approached sunset. I got some good shots but they would’ve been better if it was a nicer sunset that day. Like a fiery one! I got my obligatory Mickey ice cream and then we watched some of the World of Color light show. Halfway through the show we decided to go on Incredicoaster because it was a short line. The light show is literally in front of and on the Incredicoaster ride so it was really cool to ride during the show! Then we went back over to Cars Land and stood in the standby line that wasn’t too long for Radiator Springs Racers because we really wanted to see what the ride was like at night. Very cool! By the time we got off it was after 10 and DCA was closing. We were going to get back to the hotel to pack since our flights were the next day, but first we hopped back over to Disneyland to get some popcorn!

We had a great time at Disneyland! 3 days was pretty much enough time to ride everything we wanted to (and some big rides multiple times). It was not enough time to eat everything we wanted to though! The last time I went to Disneyland was probably over 25 years ago so hopefully it won’t be that long before I go back over there! But hopefully I won’t be away from Disney in general for too long. I’m hopefully going back to Disney World during the holidays this year.
