October 2026 Favorite Reads
October felt both very long and very short. On the one hand I can’t believe it went by so quickly and it’s already November. On the other, I’m looking at some of the books that I read this month and feel like I read some of them so long ago. I read a good number of books in the first half of October and then things really slowed down towards the end of the month. I think I got busier and some of the books in the later half of the month just took me longer to read.
Here’s what I read in October and which books made it to my favorites!

My favorites of the month were:
- Soul Searching by Lyla Sage
- Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- Overruled by Lana Ferguson
- Grim Tidings by B.K. Borison
- Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros
And of these 5 books my top favorite for the month was….

Carrie Soto is Back! I always love Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books (with the exception of Daisy Jones and the Six) but was still surprised by how much I loved this one.
