    Paisley Tacked Ruana

Happy Sunday! Where do the weekends go? I wish they didn’t go so fast. Hopefully today won’t fly by. Today I’m sharing a very casual look. Well, it could be dressed up more, but I wore it dressed down. Last weekend, I wore this floral and paisley tacked ruana with a light blue tee and black leggings. If you don’t know, ruanas are sort of like ponchos or shawls usually. I wore a beautiful plaid one with pompoms on the blog last year (here). This one is definitely lighter weight than that nice fuzzy one. Another difference with this paisley one is that it’s tacked meaning there is stitching under…

    Cocoa Crinkle Cookies

Who doesn’t love chocolate? I’m not a big sweets person, but chocolate I can do as long as it’s not super rich. Thankfully these scrumptious cocoa crinkle cookies aren’t too rich. My mom and I have been making these for a year or two now and they’re so good! We follow the Hershey’s recipe (here) but just cut down on the sugar – instead of 2 cups we use 1 1/2. While this recipe is pretty easy to follow and the cookies aren’t hard to make, it’s important to note that they are not quick cookies. The batter has to be refrigerated for at least 6 hours. It’s a good…

    Antique Blue Buffet Table

Since moving in to my townhouse I knew I wanted to get a buffet table or sideboard along the short wall of my dining area. I thought it would help complete the room and it would be great for storage since storage is definitely limited here. I browsed most of the summer for a buffet table I liked that also wouldn’t break the bank. When Wayfair was having a Labor Day sale I narrowed it down to two different tables. I compared styles, size, reviews etc. Ultimately, I chose the Kenya Buffet¬†because it got good reviews and was the right size. The other one I was looking at was really…

    Embroidered Olive Green Dress

You all know green is my all-time favorite color but olive green is my favorite for fall. It’s the perfect fall color. It’s not as bright as mint or kelly green and has that darker, muted color. It’s also not as rich as emerald green so it’s that perfect in-between/transition color. And to top it off it goes amazingly well with creams and browns which I always associate with fall. So when I saw this olive green dress with the prettiest floral embroidery I had to have it. The colors in the embroidery are so pretty and considering I previously thought color combos involving olive green were limited, they go…

    Eyelet Medallion Sleeve Top

It’s Wednesday! I’m not sure if this week is going by quickly or slowly. I’ve been so busy that I feel like I don’t really have time to think about it. The look I’m sharing today is what I actually wore to work yesterday except different shoes and I wore a gold watch rather than a bracelet. I shot this look over the weekend with colorful sandals and I wore brown and cream flats to work yesterday. I love the eyelet medallion sleeves. Such a pretty detail! Top: LOFT | Pants: Old Navy | Sandals: DSW | Bracelet: Express The top is oversized, but I think it’s a good option…

7th Heaven Charcoal & Black Sugar Peel Off Mask

I hope your week is off to a good start so far! I’m writing today about this new mask I received – the¬†7th Heaven Charcoal & Black Sugar Peel Off Mask. I love peel off masks. There’s just something so satisfying about peeling something off your face – like with nose strips! I think it’s because you can imagine actually peeling off impurities from your face. So when I was offered these charcoal & black sugar peel off masks, I really wanted to try them. This peel off mask claims that it: “takes cleansing activated charcoal to draw out deep down dirt and impurities and mixes it with a spoonful…

    Walk-Through Maxi Skirt

Today I’m sharing one last look I shot with Lauren back in July in Asbury Park. I wore a white top that is lace in the front and a walk-through maxi skirt. I had no idea that’s what these were called, but that’s what Francesca’s labeled it as when I bought it so I guess that’s the name! Essentially they’re shorts with a maxi skirt attached in the back. Sort of like maxi rompers, but this is just the bottoms. I love the movement of the walk-through maxi skirt and how it flows. So pretty! When we were on the boardwalk for photos, the wind would always pick up and…

    Ed Sheeran at Metlife Stadium

This past Friday night I went to see Ed Sheeran in concert at Metlife Stadium. I’ve long loved his music, but this was the first time I saw him in concert and he was amazing live! I’ve seen him perform at awards shows on TV and late night shows etc. and I’m always in awe of how he can perform all on his own basically with just his guitar and loop pedal. I wanted to give a little recap of the evening so keep reading if you want to hear about it! My friend and I bought tickets just a few weeks ago for this show. We bought tickets in…

    Air Fryer French Fries

Hi all – a quick food post before my concert recap post goes up this afternoon. So my parents have an air fryer and if you know anyone with an air fryer or you yourself have one then you know people who have them swear by them/love them. They’re easy to use and healthier in the sense that you’re frying food with like a tablespoon of oil instead of inches of it. One thing my family regularly makes in the air fryer is french fries. They’re so easy to make. I wash and peel a potato (or more depending on how many you want to make), cut them into strips…

    Striped OTS Romper

Last night’s Ed Sheeran concert was so good! It was in the same stadium as when I saw Taylor Swift, and it was awesome in its own way. I thoroughly enjoyed both concerts, but of course they are different styles and vibes. I am going to write a blog post with some photos, videos, and all the details (including my friend surprising me with floor seats!) for tomorrow, but in the mean time you can always check out my Instagram stories for a few videos on there before they expire! Now back to the purpose of this post. The weather is finally starting to turn milder with more fall-like temperatures…
