Glitter Pine Cones
When browsing Pinterest for some fun winter DIY decor ideas I saw glitter pine cones. I had plans to buy fake pine cones from the craft store, but when I was visiting my aunt at her little weekend place upstate (New York) she had a whole basket full of pine cones from her yard. I took a dozen or so home and stored them until I had the time to do my little holiday craft. For this easy holiday/winter craft, all I needed was glitter, spray adhesive, burlap, and a wire basket. I took some cardboard outside and did my spraying and glittering out there. It was my first time…

Earth Henna
I have had real henna done twice before – both times for my friends’ weddings. I think it’s so fun and I’m always in awe of how quickly they create such a creative and intricate design. When Earth Henna reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try their at-home henna kits, I had to try them out! I chose 2 kits – the classic kit and the white lace kit. The white lace kit really intrigued me because I had never seen white henna before. Since it was different than regular, traditional henna I decided to try that kit out last week and that’s what I’m showing off…

DIY Slouchy Tee
I’ve been wanting to do a cut-out t-shirt for a while now. I see so many cute designs on Pinterest, but I know my limits craft wise and I think it would be tough for me to pull off a cool cut-out design in the back of a t-shirt. I was thinking of a skull or tree. I know, pretty ambitious. So for my first cutting up a t-shirt craft, I decided to do something much easier/safer and do a slouchy tee or off-the-shoulder look. I followed a YouTube tutorial for the neckline which was a really good idea because I was originally just going to start cutting without even…

Purple & White Baby Blanket
Last year I crocheted a baby blanket for my friend as a gift before she gave birth to her first baby. Well, time flies because her baby girl just turned 1! For her birthday, I decided to make her a new, bigger blanket. Now, I like attempting to craft and create things but I’m not very crafty. I haven’t had the time to learn how to crochet any patterns or cool designs so all I know how to do is just your basic crochet. I did want to make it look more fun and not plain though so what I decided to do was use three colors: white, light purple,…

Photo Challenge: Gone, But Not Forgotten
As the year begins to come to a close it seems fitting that this past week’s photo challenge was “Gone, But Not Forgotten”. For this challenge, I decided to photograph a picture frame I have with some coins from countries I’ve visited. Obviously, these countries are not gone and very much still exist, but my trips to those places are long gone, but will never be forgotten. I’d love to do a much larger frame one day, but let me tell you how this came about. Probably 2 or maybe even 3 years ago, I was up late and on Pinterest. I’ve mentioned this before, but I have a tendency…
