DC Diary: Food & Heading Home
I’m back home in NJ! My trip to DC was a nice few days away and now I’m busy with Secret Santa with friends and New Year’s Eve. I have exactly 1 day (New Year’s Day) to just stay home and not have to do anything before I go back to work. Washington, D.C. – Roadtrip + The Wharf
It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been to Washington, D.C. I would say at least 8 years, so my family’s little road trip there this week will be nice for sightseeing. We planned this a few weeks ago, before the government shut down, but supposedly everything is open until at least January 1 so hopefully we won’t really be effected by it. The drive down from our town in New Jersey to D.C. is supposed to take around 4 hours, but traffic was horrendous yesterday so it took us longer. I love a good road trip. Do you? I think they can be a good time, especially if you are with a few others, but of course sometimes it gets tiring and you can’t wait to just get to your destination. That’s why road trips with fun stops along the way are the best option! I think a summer road trip around Europe sounds absolutely amazing. Spring Break: Day 7
Spring break is coming to a close and I head home today and it’s back to work on Monday. I wish spring break was 2 weeks long so I could go away for a week and then still have another week to relax and not have to do anything if I don’t want to – a real mental health week. Easter Brunch & Road Tripping
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend, for those that celebrated. Today I’m sharing with you the recap of the 2nd day of my spring break trip. Day 2 We went to Easter brunch at an italian restaurant called Altobeli’s where they had a nice setup for the occasion. I was really hungry when we went so it was perfect. As mentioned in previous posts, I spent the holiday weekend in Ottawa, Canada visiting family for a little reunion. From where I live it is about an 8 hour drive. I’m not new to road trips as I have been on quite a few.
