Low Effort Self Care Tips
Image credit Pexels We can all probably agree that taking care of your physical and mental health is super important. All sorts of outside factors can start affecting your happiness, including work stress, world events, personal issues, and more. When it comes to self-care, there are plenty of books advising you how to live your life, and the internet is absolutely stuffed with ideas for self-care activities, from yoga to meditation to healing crystals. 3-Part Self-Care Evening
Since we could all use some self-care these days I thought I’d share what I did a few nights ago for an easy at-home spa night/self-care night. I only did 3 things, but they were so relaxing! After washing my face, I did one of my favorite things – used my facial steamer. This lasts for about 10 minutes. After the facial steamer was done, I put on a sheet mask. Sheet masks are so cooling and refreshing! I chose the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb sheet mask that evening. While I sat in bed to read with my sheet mask on, I got my essential oil diffuser going. My diffuser…

Knitting with LoveCrafts
Do you like knitting? A lot of people find it relaxing and a version of self-care. Time to yourself. I find it relaxing too, although I can’t do anything fancy. Like at all. How to Improve your Body Image and Boost Self-Confidence
If you have low self-esteem, you may find that you are constantly putting yourself down. You may feel as though you’re not good enough, and that you’re never going to be either. Stop Comparing Yourself Everyone has something that they wish they could change about themselves. Have We Got Our Priorities Wrong When It Comes To Self Care?
When we talk about good health what’s the first thing that pops into your mind? A healthy diet? Plenty of exercise? Plates full of leafy greens and toned bodies striding confidently on treadmills? A lean, toned abdomen, glossy silky hair, bright, sparkling eyes, clear radiant skin and pristine white teeth? While these are all signifiers of good health, they have also caused us to value a healthy and attractive appearance over health beneath the surface. In this image obsessed age, it’s not enough to be healthy, we have to look healthy. And if we’re given the choice we’ll take looking healthy over being healthy any day of the week. Image…

Having More Fun is Good for Your Health
Image source We are always being told to eat healthily and exercise for both our physical and mental well being. This is great advice, but having some fun is also good in many ways. It could be having a ‘kick around’ with a ball and the kids, or watching your favorite TV programme. As long as it is fun to you then the health benefits may be surprising, and in fact, this should be your number one priority. Reduces Stress Cortisol, which is sometimes called the ‘stress hormone’, spikes to an unhealthy level when we are anxious or upset. It is meant to save us in a do-or-die situation,…
