    White Heart Sweater

A few years ago I used to have a grey sweater with light pink and white hearts on it. It was a lightweight sweater, but it was cute. I don’t have that sweater anymore, but this new one is like a nicer version of that sweater! The Lou & Grey line sold at LOFT is always filled with items that are extremely soft and the luxe basics. This grey sweater with white hearts all over is a much softer and nicer knit than my old one! Sweater: LOFT (here) | Jeans: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Shoes: Steve Madden via DSW (here) | Necklace: Baublebar I paired the sweater with…

    Valentine’s Graphic Tops

I’ve been seeing so many cute Valentine’s tops out this year. Some that are more dressy like peplum sweaters and nice knits with heart prints (I may have those two things and will be sharing soon…) but graphic tees and sweatshirts are always fun. I thought I would round up a few cute ones that you may also like and can (hopefully) get before Valentine’s Day! Sweatshirt: United Monograms I got this candy heart sweatshirt last winter and it came with matching monogrammed shorts for a casual or pajama set. I can’t link to the United Monogram one, but I did find a very similar one from Etsy along with…

    Candy Heart Pajamas

I know Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but I’m just getting around to posting these candy heart pajamas today and so we’re just going to go by the old cliché that love should be celebrated every day. I saw these super cute pajamas on Instagram and while I’ve never been one to be in to monograms, these pajamas come with your monogram on one of the candy hearts and on the accompanying shorts. It’s a cute detail and while I’m still not crazy about monogrammed items I do love this set! The sweatshirt is nice and warm, but not too warm so you won’t be sweating while you sleep.…

Restyled: Heart Pompom Cardigan + Lace Dot Cami

Happy Valentine’s Day! In honor of the heart holiday I wanted to restyle my heart pompom cardigan from last winter. Last year on the blog I styled it with a strappy white tank top with crochet trip. This year I went with a little more color – a pink lace trim dot cami. I’m so happy I bought this cardigan last year – it’s such good quality and super warm. Warm enough that I was not cold in the slightest wearing just a cami underneath in the freezing temps. Cardigan: Chicwish | Cami: Abercrombie & Fitch | Leggings: J.Crew I’ve seen versions of this cardigan back out this winter and I’m…

Be Mine & Strawberry Ice Cream Milk Shake

It’s a snow day! (I’m writing this ahead of time so I don’t know if there’s snow on the ground or not). The snow day was called last night and with my cold I’m so thankful for a day off to just rest! If you liked my grey sweatshirt with heart print on the elbow that I posted yesterday, then I have another casual Valentine’s top for you today. I have a handful (or two) of Christmas tees and sweatshirts, but nothing for Valentine’s Day so when I saw this red tee that says “Be Mine” I had to have it. The varsity stripes the perfect touch too! On the…

    Valentine’s Day Decor

I love writing my Chrismtas decor and Thanksgiving decor posts. I always find it really inspiring to look at other people’s creations. i thought I would do a Valentine’s decor post and round up some fun things I found on Pinterest. I love the fun look Valentine’s decorations have. Something about the holidays always makes me think of elementary school and passing out cards. I love the red and pink combo and the upbeat, loving, optimistic vibes it gives off. However, I don’t like when the decorations go overboard.Once, a few years ago, I went out for a galentine’s dinner with a friend and the place was decked out for…

    Hallmark Movies for Valentine’s Day

As most of you know if you’ve been following me for a while, I love Hallmark movies. No matter how predictable they are, I truly enjoy watching them. Of course, some are much better than others. I shared some Christmas picks back in December that I love enough to watch multiple times. I thought today I’d share 5 Valentine themed Hallmark movies or just love story movies that aren’t necessarily Valentine but would still be good for the holiday. The two I’m sharing that aren’t Valentine specific are a few years old and so might not get as much attention or love as the newer ones so I wanted to…

    Sweet Embroidered Heart

Happy Friday and first day of February! I have a few Valentine’s Day inspired looks to share over the next two weeks and today’s the first look. This lightweight pink sweater with a tiny red embroidered heart is so cute and great for any time of year. You don’t have to wait until Valentine’s Day to wear this sweater – you can wear it any time. The embroidered heart is so small and sweet. I love the classic red and pink combo! I wore this sweater with jeans that have a gold zipper at the ankles and my new black knit slip on sneakers. Sweater: Popsugar via Kohl’s | Jeans:…

    Red Velvet Cold Shoulder Dress

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m not super in to the holiday, but I don’t hate it either. I like the cheesiness of it like all the candies, flowers, and decorations, but I’ve never been one of those people that need to make a big deal about it or make a big stink about it if I don’t have a valentine. My plans today are pretty much to work and then watch more of the Olympics!  This dress is from last year but I knew it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day so I wanted to share it today. This red velvet dress has shoulder cutouts, a cut out at the chest,…

  • Valentine's Muddy Buddies

    Valentine’s Muddy Buddies

Muddy Buddies or Puppy Chow or whatever you want to call it is something you may have made yourself before and/or most probably have eaten at some point. The not-too-sweet treat is addictive and easy to make. I hadn’t had it in years and was thinking of a simple snack I could make for Valentine’s Day. Making Muddy Buddies and adding in some valentine’s M&M’s seemed like the easiest idea! I used the recipe on the back of the Chex cereal box, but all you need are Chex, confectioner’s sugar, butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. What I did differently is I halved the recipe because the full recipe makes…
