Getting Ready for Graduation…As a Teacher

School’s out! Today was the last day of school, but the seniors graduated a few days ago (everyone else had a few extra days due to the horrible winter we had). Most people want to look nice at graduations, even if you are just a guest and not the graduate, because it is a big event and there are a lot of pictures that will be taken.

Graduation was after school and at another venue. I didn’t have time to go home in between so I had to bring everything with me. I planned out what makeup to wear keeping in mind that it had to go with what I was wearing to work that day and my outfit that evening.

Face: Tarte Poreless Perfecting Primer, MUFE HD Invisible Cover Foundation, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, BareMinerals Luminzer, Milani Baked Bronzer, Benefit Erase Paste, Smashbox HD Concealer, L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer (used as a liquid highlight), BareMinerals Well Rested, MAC Mineralize Blush (Gentle), MAC Fix+
Eyes: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, BareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara, Flower Beauty Eyeshadow Quad (Foxy Browns)
Not Pictured: Wet n Wild Brow Kit, EOS Lip Balm

I put my makeup on for work around 6:45 AM and graduation wasn’t until 5, so I knew I needed to bring a few things to touch up my makeup before I headed to the graduation.

I wore a dress to work that day….

But, I brought another dress with me because I would be on stage at graduation calling names for when the students received their diplomas so I wanted to wear something different than what I had been wearing all day. I left my dress for graduation hanging in my car so it wouldn’t get wrinkled.

The dress was a nice, above knee-length green dress. With the cardigan it looks pretty, simple, and professional. When I went out with my friends/co-workers after the graduation for dinner I was able to take the cardigan off. The back of the dress has some cute cut-outs. More fun and not as professional-looking anymore!

That’s basically how I got ready for graduation this year!
