Lemon flavored (and other citrus flavored things) scream summer to me. The tartness can be refreshing and paired with the confectioners sugar on top of the lemon bars there is a mix of sweet and sour. I’ve made lemon bars twice ever and recently made them again. I think they’re the perfect dessert or snack to kick off summer. I got the recipe from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe and pretty much stuck to the recipe except for cutting down on the sugar.
