Brunch OOTD

Over the weekend I went out for brunch with a friend to catch up. It was great getting to chat over food and enjoy the nice weather outside. I wore an olive green dress from Express which was an interesting experience…

 So to explain my love/hate relationship with this dress let me preface this by saying that this was the first time I wore this dress. Love: 1) The way it fits – I like that it’s loose, but not in the sense that it’s too big. 2) I love the zipper detailing. I am a big fan of exposed zippers in the back so zipper detailing in the front (when not overdone) is good in my book. Hate: The buttons on this dress are ridiculous. Seriously. It took me a legit 5 minutes to get this dress buttoned. I think I even started to break a sweat because these buttons caused me to be late!

Just look at how tiny these buttons are! There are little gold nubs causing them to be extremely difficult to button. You know it’s got to be bad enough for me to spend time complaining about it. Now, you may ask why not just keep the dress buttoned and pull it over my head? Well, I saw that the buttons looked like a pain so I did indeed try to just pull it on. I unbuttoned the top few and then pulled it on over my head. I’m not good at sound effects (and really how can I make one on here?) but just imagine that sound when as you pull something on the buttons all undo themselves right down the line. One after the other.

So….I think I’m going to cut all these buttons off and sew new ones on. Would that be something you guys would be interested in reading about?  If I do it, I think I will write about it and the process.
