Holiday Pick: La Belle Carousel

Too Faced, in my opinion, always has the cutest packaging. I know the glittery, girly packaging isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it! Whether it’s their tin packaging or their holiday packages which are always adorable, I love and so admire that they put so much thought into their packaging. One of the holiday offerings this year from Too Faced is La Belle Carousel, which as you’ll see from my pictures can be kept all for yourself or separated and gifted piece by piece.

The “carousel” comes with a removable pink, glitter top. The sides or panels on the side all come out and each one houses product. The design for each panel depicts a part of the carousel. I love the detail!

There are 3 sets of eye shadows, 2 blushes, 2 bronzers, and a mini of the company’s popular Better Than Sex Mascara. I love when companies come up with holiday names for shadows and Too Faced definitely does it up right with names such as Sugar Plum Fairy and Haute Chocolate.

Another cool detail they included was the ability to write on the back with a “To” and “From” section if you are giving any pieces away for a gift.

I mentioned recently that I need to work on my swatch game, but here is a look at the shadows and blush/bronzer I used to test out the product. I wasn’t worried at all about the quality as I’ve never had an issue at all with the company. The products are always so soft, easy to blend and pigmented. Some companies’ shadows are much drier and require a little more work, but I’ve never found this to be the case with Too Faced.

I used Who’s Your Poppy (blush) and Chocolate Soleil (bronzer) for my face. For shadows, I used the panel with the colors Nutcracker, Nude Beach, Boxes & Bows, & Sugar Plum Fairy. I went with a light hand with all of these products since I was just hanging around home that day and just wanted to play around with the set.

All in all, I think it’s a great holiday set to buy for it’s usefulness and it’s super cute packaging. It would look great sitting on your dresser or makeup table even after the product is gone. If you are traveling, it is easy to break it apart and just take what you want. Each panel has a magnetic closure so it won’t come loose. The panels are also so slim that it would be easy to slip into your bag.

I’m happy I decided to make this one of my holiday purchases for myself!
