Pop of Color on a Rainy Day

It seems like winter weather has come full force this week. Monday was not only chilly, but also rainy all day with the occasional torrential downpour. Since the weather was so nasty out and on a Monday (the most dreaded day of the week) no less, I decided to wear a pop of color with my grey pants and black cardigan.

The color is so bright and cheery and I love the neckline and fluttery layer in the front.

This week in my makeup basket…

Face: Smashbox More than Primer Blemish Control, Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation & Wet n Wild Coverall Foundation, Benefit Erase Paste, Smashbox High Definition Concealer, BareMinerals Well Rested, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, BareMinearls Mineral Powder, BareMinerals Luminizer, Milani Baked Bronzer, L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer (as highlight)
Eyes: Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer, Lorac Mint Edition (also used the blush in this palette), Stila In the Know, Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara, Wet n Wild Brow Kit
Lips: Sonia Kashuk Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Color (Sheer Juicy Coral)

Like last week, I wanted to have plenty of variety for eye colors this week so that’s why 2 palettes are in my basket. I still haven’t made up my mind about the Clump Crusher Mascara. I know a lot of people love it and list it as one of their favorites, but I haven’t been wow’ed by it yet.

Back to what I wore — wearing this pop of color with the rest of my dark ensemble helped brighten my (Mon)day! It’s supposed to warm up a little bit at the end of the week, but either way I think winter is officially here.
