theBalm Instain Blush Haul
Today I’ve got a little haul to share back from Cyber Monday. I was really good this year and didn’t do any Black Friday shopping and the only Cyber Monday shopping I did was from theBalm. I almost lasted without getting anything until I saw the ad that theBalm was having a 50% off sale! You have to admit, 50% off is pretty awesome. I’ve tried only a few things from the company and I’ve had mixed feelings on the products in the past, but I’ve been hearing great things about the Instain blushes since they came out (over a year ago?) so I thought this sale was the perfect opportunity to try them out. I got 5 out of the 6 shades because I honestly wanted to try them all and all the ones I got looked like shades I would most definitely wear. The only shade I didn’t get was “Pinstripe” which looked to be the darkest shade and I didn’t think I’d use it much.
They are described as a long-wearing powder staining blush and the packaging is cute and clever in true theBalm form.
The shades are absolutely gorgeous and they are no joke. They are seriously pigmented and all you need is to gently tap your brush on the product.
And big news, everyone — I’m finally getting the hang of swatch pictures! This is a big deal for me! (Left to right) Houndstooth (mauve), Lace (bright pink), Swiss Dot (peach), Toile (strawberry), Argyle (petal pink)
I’ve worn Houndstooth, Lace, and Swiss Dot so far and love them. Swiss Dot is in my makeup basket for the week, which will be shown tomorrow. These swatches were done with a gentle swipe using my index figure so you can see just how pigmented these blushes are! Obviously, you don’t need to wear them this brightly on your cheeks especially if you just tap your brush into the product and then blend it out. They are definitely worth the hype and I’m so happy I snagged these for 50% off! If you want to try these out and don’t want to pay full price, keep an eye out on Hautelook because I often see the brand on there.
Did any of you do any Cyber Monday beauty buys?
