BBQ Chicken Crescent Rolls
I’ve been eating Pillsbury Crescent Rolls for as long as I can remember. Besides the one or two times when I was younger and made pigs in a blanket or the year I was obsessed with filling the dough with cream cheese and jam (what I learned in 7th grade Home Ec class), I’ve been eating them just plain – rolled out from the tube and baked. I’ve been noticing lately (and these things might have been around for ages but I just didn’t notice) that there are suddenly a million different recipes and food ideas involving crescent rolls.
A few weeks ago I made Barbecue Chicken filled Crescent Rolls – an idea from Pillsbury, using crescent rolls, chicken, barbecue sauce and mozzarella cheese. It was really easy and surprisingly filling considering crescent rolls aren’t that big.
Shred some chicken. You don’t need a whole lot because remember, the circles you’re going to cut the crescent rolls into aren’t that big.
I used a small bowl to get a circle.
Put some of the chicken that you tossed with the barbecue sauce onto the circle and top with some cheese. Then, fold it over to make a half moon shape and score the edges with the tines of a fork.
The second tray, I made as triangles which proved to be a bit easier to keep all the filling in when folding.
There you have it! An easy meal for lunch or actually the perfect game day food if you are hosting people to watch football or you want to bring something with you to someone else’s game day gathering.

You can use a rotisserie chicken from the supermarket like I did to make it even easier!
