Skin Clearing Serum
Another day off from work today due to a snow day. I’m not going to complain about having a 5 day weekend (4 day weekend due to President’s Day and now this snow day), but I’m starting to get really bored!
Since I had some a lot of extra time on my hands today I thought I would give the Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum a proper review on here! This serum by InstaNatural claims to be the “perfect solution to address a wide array of skin issues: – Wrinkles & fine lines – Blemishes & irritated skin – Dry, dehydrated skin – Uneven skin tone – Hyperpigmentation – Rough texture – Dull complexion”.
It comes in a little glass bottle with a dropper applicator. The directions say to use a small amount on your skin, allow to dry, and then follow up with a moisturizer. I never know what a “small” amount is so I just do one drop into my hand, pat it around my face and gently work it in. It dries extremely quickly so after the initial patting it into your skin there is really very little to actually work in to your skin.
It’s hard to see the product on my hand, but it is a cloudy solution with the slightest yellowish tinge. It smells citrusy and has a faint smell of orange juice. It leaves my skin feeling a tiny bit sticky, but not very sticky at all and not at all uncomfortable. It’s a little more tacky than sticky.
Another one of the benefits this serum boasts is it is supposed to soothe blemishes. “This skin clearing serum also contains ingredients to soothe blemishes and irritated skin, including 2.5% Retinol, 2% Salicylic, Tea Tree Oil & Niacinamide.” On the first night I used this I had a blemish starting to form on my cheek. I could see the bump and pinkness forming. The next morning it had vanished! It could be a fluke and since then I have developed a small blemish on my chin, so I can’t say the serum is a miracle worker, but it hasn’t caused me any problems so it could be helping.
I’ve only been using this product for about a week, once a day, so I can’t speak to its long-term benefits, but I can say that it hasn’t caused me to break out (and it may have gotten rid of a blemish), and it leaves my skin feeling soft. I think it’s definitely worth checking out!
