Photo Challenge: Monochromatic
Friday, we made it! It’s been one of those weeks that’s been tiring and long, but at the same time sorta felt like it went quickly. I’ve had a cold this week and had a late night at work on Wednesday for Back to School Night, so I’m really looking forward to resting up this weekend.
So like every Friday, I’m sharing my response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge and this week the challenge was “Monochromatic”. The leaves haven’t really started to change colors much yet – at least not in my area. There have been some subtle changes, but it doesn’t look very fall-ish yet. Though, I feel like some years it seems to happen so fast. One day, the trees are full of leaves and the next time you take the time to look it seems like the trees are bare and it’s freezing out. Before the leaves turn orange, golden, and brown, I took a picture of some of the leaves of a tree in front of my house.
I love the earthy tones of the green, yellow, and brown and while notΒ exactly all in the same color family for the monochromatic look, I feel like yellow and green are pretty closely related and the brown branches are a nice contrast.
Despite the fact that fall means back to school aka back to work for me, as I’ve gotten older it really has become my favorite season. Now that I’m back in the work routine, I’m excited for the cooler weather, cozy sweaters, and beautiful fall colors!

We still have “summer” here too, but that lasts until about December! Haha. I am NOT complaining, I love the summer! π

Haha you’ll have to live vicariously through my fall pictures whenever it finally arrives. It was in the 60s this morning but 90 when I got out of work today!
