For last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post, participants were challenged to share a photo that represented “Textures” to them. I thought of sharing something earthy, but then I came across a photo I took back in the winter on my phone of my appetizer at the restaurant, Seasons 52. I got the ahi tuna tartare and the layered appetizer definitely had different textures to it.
The ahi tuna was so soft and tender sitting on top of a smooth wasabi-avocado mousse and topped with a tropical salsa. There were also Hawaiian sea salt crisps to eat with it which gave the dish it’s crunchy texture, but it’s not pictured here.
