Christmas is my favorite time of year. All the cozy sweaters, delicious foods, Christmas lights – love it! Over the weekend I went on my first holiday outing of the season. I took snapshots throughout the day so if you want to virtually follow me on my day in New York City then just keep reading!
First up, of course I had to put some thought into my outfit for my first holiday outing of the year! I chose to wear a Christmas sweater from Abercrombie & Fitch, a white knit beanie from GAP Factory Store, and a plaid, fringe scarf that I got for Christmas last year. How cute is the ornament for the “o” in “Love” on the sweater?
My friends and I went to Cornerstone Cafe for brunch. I got a delectable fresh fruit crepe.
We then walked to Union Square and checked out the Christmas market there. So much fun walking around to the different booths!
Next, we kept on walking towards Bryant Park to check out the Winter Village. On the way there, we passed Lord & Taylor and their storefront decorations are beyond gorgeous this year! Every inch of the storefront is covered in white lights. I didn’t get a close up look of their window displays but they looked pretty from across the street.
We finally arrived at Bryant Park to see the Winter Village. Unfortunately, the tree wasn’t lit yet (the lighting is today!) but we did see it decorated. I’ve never been to see this tree before, usually just sticking to the famous Rockefeller Center Tree, so this was a nice change. I do hope to see the Rockefeller tree later this month though!
The Christmas Market at the Winter Village was just as pretty, if not prettier, than the one at Union Square, but much more spaced out which is always nice.
Totally loving my new American Eagle coat!
It started to get really chilly out so we stopped at different vendors for some snacks like these Nutella filled empanadas and an Italian Hot Chocolate from Max Brenner.
The hot chocolate tasted like biscotti, which I guess is to be expected since it was italian hot chocolate? I really have no idea, but it was tasty although a bit too sweet for me.
That wraps up my first holiday outing of the year! The city is always especially beautiful at Christmas time with all the lights and decorations. Hopefully, I’ll be able to fit in a few more holiday outings to continue enjoying the holiday cheer! And don’t worry, I will of course bring you along (virtually) 🙂
