Snowman Winter Nails

This post ended up being perfectly timed. I painted my nails a few nights ago and I was thinking that when I posted the pictures on here I would write about how much I wanted a snow day especially since other than a few dustings and an inch here and there we hadn’t had any real snow this year. Well my wish came true because we have a snow day today! It’s crazy because just yesterday it was 60 degrees and felt like spring. It was a beautiful day. Now we’re back to winter and we’re supposed to get 10-15 inches of snow today!

Anyway, back to my nails. I wanted to do a winter themed nail look. Something that wasn’t too difficult because my nail skills are still developing. I decided to do a snowman face on my ring fingers and paint the rest of my nails blue with white dots to simulate the sky and snow falling down.

I used:

  • OPI “Alpine Snow”
  • OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Infinite Shine 2 Collection “I Believe in Manicures”
  • Revlon “Privileged”
  • Sally Hansen nail pen in black
  • Sally Hansen nail pen in white
  • Revlon top coat
  • dotting tool

Drawing the eyes and button mouth for the snowman face was easy. What was a little tricky was the carrot nose. The photo above looks okay but the nose on my right hand looks more blob-ish than triangular. One of these days myΒ I’ll be more proficient at doing things left handed!

Overall, I’m pretty pleased with how cute this nail look turned out! Now I’m off to relax the day away and watch the snow fall. And hope that the power doesn’t go out or anything!
