Love Your Melon Beanies
I’m sure many of you have heard of Love Your Melon but if you haven’t it’s a company that sells a whole assortment of beanies with 50% of their profit going to pediatric cancer non-profit organizations as well as provide beanies to children suffering from cancer. I first heard about Love Your Melon last year and loved the look of the hats as well as the mission of the company, but winter was over so I decided to wait until the next winter season to buy so I could see what was in their current stock.
So after Christmas, I decided to browse the website and I picked out 2. In hindsight, I should’ve looked before Christmas – I think a lot of people bought them as gifts to people for the holidays so when I went on the website post-holidays a lot of them were sold out. Luckily I still found 2 that I really liked. I got the Mint Pom Beanie and the Liberty Beanie.
The beanies came with rubber Love Your Melon bracelets. I love the mint color – mint green is one of my favorite colors. I chose the Liberty Beanie because I really liked the color combination. Both beanies are so warm, thick, and well-made. What I didn’t realize when I first got these is that the pompom is removable for cleaning purposes. I didn’t realize because I never looked at the top of the beanie that closely, until I read the little card that came with the package with cleaning directions. The pompom is attached by a snap button and I think it’s really cool that you can take it off! Not that you would take it off unless you were cleaning it because I don’t think you want to be walking around with a silver button on the top of your head.

I wore my heart sweater since it’s Valentine’s weekend! Seemed as good a time as any. I chose my Circus Life sunnies from Quay Australia because I thought the blue lenses would work perfectly to highlight the blue in the Liberty Beanie. I wore the rubber bracelet for a little accessory. My “Forever Young” tattoo is from Flash Tattoos and I think it came in the “Wanderlust” package.
I’m so enjoying these beanies and since they are so well made I know they will be winter staples for years to come!

I remember in college they gave you the bracelet if you took a picture of a frame with flowers that said love your melons and posted it to twitter. I thought it was a great way to show awareness for such a great cause, I love the colors of beanies, they look so comfy.
