Today’s my first day back at work after being sick and having two sick days so hopefully it will be an easy day back! I spent my last evening of my little break watching the Golden Globes and as usual have rounded up some of the looks I loved from the red carpet. As I’m sure many of you are already aware of, a majority of the stars – both men and women – wore black last night to show their solidarity for the victims of sexual assault and the promotion of awareness for gender and racial inequalities. It was a sea of black and there were so many fabulous looks. In no particular order, here are some of the looks I loved!
First up, Reese Witherspoon looked beautiful in this classic one-shouldered black gown. I loved the foldover detail on the gown to give it some texture and some contrast.
Eva Longoria looked beautiful showing off her baby bump in this long sleeved, plunging gown. The satin trim in the deep-v like the foldover detail in Reese Witherspoon’s dress gives a nice contrast.
I love Susan Kelechi Watson‘s jumpsuit! It looks perfect on her and the all-over sequins don’t even look over the top at all. It’s such a fun but classy look.
Alexis Bledel looked great in this white and black Oscar de la Renta jumpsuit with the leaf details and sequin sash. It’s a look I would wear for sure!
Catherine Zeta Jones continues to defy age with this sheer number featuring strategically placed floral appliques. She looked stunning in this Zuhair Murad gown!
Diane Kruger’s look is a gown I missed on the red carpet, but when her movie won for foreign film I saw her come on stage and immediately searched for a photo of the dress. I love it! It’s beautifully flowy and the criss cross bodice looks great on her. I especially love the sheer dotted cape!
I really liked Heidi Klum‘s high-low feathered black gown. Fun and chic!
Kendall Jenner wore a similar style but more dramatic with a full on ball gown skirt. I’m not sure why she was at the Golden Globes but I loved her dress!
Margot Robbie’s Gucci dress is one I can’t decide whether I love or hate?! But the silver flowers and bow are making me love it!
Last but not least, Nicole Kidman, looked gorgeous in her black gown. I love the lace work and beading on the top and the fluttery sleeves. The fluttery sleeves actually went all the way into the back of the dress but I don’t have a photo of that.
Were there any looks you really loved?
