Wan Chai + Pool Time in Hong Kong

Monday was a slower paced, more relaxing day in Hong Kong. We took the MTR one stop to Wan Chai to do some shopping – primarily food/dried goods shopping. My parents wanted to stock up on things that are either hard to get or you can’t get in the States and I got some snacks for myself and gifts for others.

Then, we took the ding ding to Causeway Bay because my dad had lunch plans with old school friends. I didn’t get any shots outside, except for one across the street from Times Square. While my dad was at lunch, the rest of us went to do some more shopping and eat lunch at a delicious Japanese place inside another shopping center.

There are so many cool art installations in the different malls and just around in Hong Kong. If I lived there I’d never be short of places to take blog photos! I took photos of more throughout the week, but I don’t think I shared any on here. But the above is an example!

Then, the weather was still looking good so I took advantage of the little bit of free time I had before dinner and went to the hotel pool. It was so relaxing and the weather was perfect. The pool has a view of the water in the distance.

The water was actually chilly – probably because of all the rain! But it was nice and refreshing amidst the humidity.

We had a family dinner at the Italian restaurant at our hotel that night and my cousin surprised me with a birthday dessert! It was a yummy chocolate cake and the piece was so big that everyone was able to have a small slice with plenty of leftovers.

The next day was pretty easy going too while we continuously checked the weather on our phones to see if the typhoon warning signal had gone up/would go up. I’ll recap that day soon!
