Plan Things Out in Advance

First of all, you should remember the importance of planning things out in advance. When you’re taking a short trip, you don’t have any time to waste. You want to get straight down to business and start experiencing what California has to offer. That’s why you should plan things out so that you don’t waste time doing planning and thinking about what to do while you’re there.

Find One or Two Top Hotels

If you want to move around California during your short stay there, you should try to find a couple of hotels that you can move between halfway through your stay. That way, you’ll cover more ground and see more of the state. You can start in LA and then find hotel rooms in San Diego, California. That’s just one example, but you can plan it out how you like.

Ride on Route 66

Route 66 is probably the most famous stretch of road in America and maybe the world. So while you’re in California you should at least ride a little part of it so that you can say you’ve done it. It’s one of those things that many people want to tick off the bucket list, even if you’re not going to have the time to drive most of the route during your trip.

Overlook LA from the Griffith Observatory

While you’re in California, you’ve got to at least have a quick stop off in LA. It’s not only the best city in the state, but many people argue that it’s the best city in the whole of America. Once you’re there, you want to head up to the Griffith Observatory where you can get an incredible view overlooking the city from up high. There’s nothing else quite like it.

Head to Sierra Nevada and See Lake Tahoe

Finally, you should make time to head to Sierra Nevada because this is where you’ll find the stunning Lake Tahoe. It’s one of the most beautiful and impressive natural areas in all of California and it’s really not to be missed. You can do some walking and exploring while you’re there, as well as getting some snaps for Instagram.

California has so much to see and offer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get plenty of enjoyment out of it in the short time you’re planning on staying there. Use this trip as a way of doing all the best things, and then you can plan to do other exciting things next time if you want to come back for more.
