Multicolor Embellished Shift Dress

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, if you celebrate! Are you doing any Black Friday shopping? I don’t plan to do any in-store shopping. I’m not about to deal with all the crowds and traffic. But I plan to browse the online sales especially if I can find some good Christmas gifts.

Today I’m sharing what I wore for Thanksgiving yesterday. This dress from Vici Dolls was the perfect dress for Thanksgiving. I love the collar and detachable bow brooch. The colors and embellished material are so pretty. It feels a little scratchy, but isn’t itchy at all because the dress is lined inside. The gold exposed zipper in the back goes perfectly with the embellished strands of the woven material. And to top it all off, the dress has pockets so it’s really perfect!

Dress: Vici

I wore this dress with black heels. I thought about going with nude t-strap heels but I thought with the navy blue, almost black ribbon it would look better with black heels. The bow is detachable, but I love the look of it so I kept it on.

I’m wearing a medium here and probably could’ve gone with a small for a less oversized look. However, I ordered a medium after looking at the sizing chart – plus I normally wear a size medium at Vici. Their smalls are a little too snug on me usually, but this dress is definitely oversized. Even though it is supposed to be a looser fitting shift dress I don’t imagine the small being too small for me. But anyway I still love the dress and all of its pretty details.

I thought about belting it but then I thought that wouldn’t look good with the bow brooch. I then thought about tying a bright pink, thin cloth ribbon I have from a package I got this week, but ultimately I decided it looked best left alone.

Fun fact – you might not be able to tell from my smile in these photos but I was absolutely freezing! It was the 4th coldest Thanksgiving in New York in recorded history. If you don’t know, I live in New Jersey – about 45 minutes from New York City. So yesterday was super cold, but I wanted to take these photos so I braved the cold. #bloggerlife.

After I ate dinner, I promptly changed in to leggings and my Choose Love camo top because it was warmer and more comfy after over-eating.

Did you go for a dressy or casual look for Thanksgiving?
