Shrimp & Steak Whiskey Teriyaki Skewers
I’m back to share another grilling recipe today! Since yesterday we got a glimpse of beautiful, 70+ weather, I wanted to share another warm weather recipe today. I made this last summer and didn’t get to share it so I’m sharing it now. This recipe is from The Food Network. I saw it on The Kitchen. I stuck to the recipe, so click on the link for the exact recipe and directions, but I made 3 little changes.
The three changes I made:
- I put the shrimp and steak on separate skewers instead of alternating them on the same skewer for more even cooking time. I like my steak more well done and shrimp generally cooks pretty quick so it made more sense for me to separate them.
- This recipe is actually for bourbon teriyaki and you may have noticed that I called this post “whiskey teriyaki”. That’s because I didn’t have bourbon, but I did have Jack Daniels which is a whiskey. I’m not a big drinker so I really don’t know the little differences – through a Google search I know that bourbons are whiskeys so I don’t really know the technical differences!
- The recipe calls for oranges and I used pineapple instead.
Such a good surf & turf meal and perfect for the warm weather! Happy grilling!
