Striped Button Sweater
Last day of work before spring break! I’ve been writing my posts a few days in advance this week which I tend to do when I know my week is going to be crazy and especially before I travel. That way I’m ahead so when I first arrive at my destination I’m not stressed about deadlines and I’ve got a 1-2 day leeway. So as I’m writing this on Monday night and daydreaming about today (Thursday) being the last day of work before break, hopefully nothing crazy has happened in the meantime.
Anyway, the look I’m sharing today is the look I wore to see the cherry blossoms over the weekend. If you caught that post and/or saw my Instagram post from the weekend then you got a glimpse of this outfit. You know I’ve been loving the 70s vibes the past year and the colors in this ribbed sweater definitely gave me those retro vibes which is what drew me to the sweater in the first place. The white, yellow, green, pink combo is retro perfection for me. The final clincher on selling me on this sweater are the tortoise shell faux buttons. I love the two additional buttons on top – such a fun and stylish detail.

I thought my green velvet jacket would go perfectly with the sweater playing off the green, but it was way too hot out for it. It was around 80 when I was walking about the park, so I didn’t need the jacket, but it did come in handy later that night when it cooled down.
I wore the sweater with jeans and pink quilted slip-ons. I also wore black faded Quay Australia sunglasses. I think the sweater is so figure flattering and it would work for so many different body types. The ribbed material gives it a nice look and it’s stretchy which is always a plus.
I love everything about this sweater – the colors, the ribbed detailing, the neckline, the buttons!
