April 2020 Favorites

Another month over, can you believe it? I can’t believe we’ve been in quarantine for about 6 weeks already. Sometimes it feels like the time has gone by really fast and other times it feels like forever. It is hard to believe that the whole month of April has gone by though.

For this month’s favorites, I have a lot of tv related things since I’m watching a lot more these days.

First, I was obsessed with the Food Network Tournament of Champions. It was so fun to watch! It’s like March Madness but with famous chefs.

Next, I have been watching Hawaii Five-O for the past 10 years and early on in the month they aired the series finale. I’m so bummed that the show ended, but I was happy with the ending. I tweeted about the ending and I got a lot of love on the tweet! Peter M. Lenkov, the executive producer and creator even liked my tweet!

Have you caught any of John Krasinski’s YouTube show? When quarantine started, he created a YouTube channel called “Some Good News” with weekly shows sharing good news. In one of the episodes this month, he surprised a young girl who is a huge Hamilton fan. She was supposed to see the Broadway show and her trip got canceled because of the pandemic. John surprised her on Zoom with Lin Manuel Miranda and the Hamilton cast and they sang! It was so cool! The surprise starts around minute 8:25 if you want to jump to it.

When I was a kid I used to watch the show The Nanny every week with my parents. It was so funny and I still think it’s funny when I catch reruns. Early on during lockdown, Fran Drescher announced on Twitter that the cast would be doing a virtual table read of the pilot episode! I didn’t catch it live, but I saw it later on on YouTube and it was really cool.

I’ve been wearing these two Victoria’s Secret Strapless Bras since last summer, but I’ve never talked about them. They are so good and so comfortable. So comfortable in fact that I have been wearing them lately even when I don’t need to wear a strapless bra. I never have to pull them up or adjust them. I have the bra in champagne and beach glass.

Next, I recently started following Forde Abbey on Instagram. It’s an abbey in England and they have been posting photos and videos of their stunning gardens and fields of flowers. It is so idyllic and I want to go there! It makes me think of a Jane Austen novel and I want to run through the fields!

Okay, we’re almost getting to the end! I wrote about my personalized phone case a few weeks ago and I’m still so in love with it! It’s the Baublebar x OMC Personalized Case and I got my initials and a heart on it.

I have loved the blueberry muffins from Costco since I was a kid. My parents recently went to Costco during the senior hours and picked up a pack – I think they only come sold in a dozen and they are pretty big muffins. They gave me a few to take home and I eat half at a time. They make for an easy and tasty breakfast while I work from home!

Lastly, I have been getting a lot more reading done lately. And since I joined Wattpad, I have been reading more on there. I read The Cell Phone Swap by Lindsey Summers after having it on my reading list for a while. The premise sounded so good and it has over 100 million reads! I loved the book so much and it was published as Textrovert. I wasn’t able to get my hands on a hard copy so I bought the e-book. I haven’t read it yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing what’s different between the two versions!

And speaking of Wattpad, my book will be finished in maybe 7 or 8 more chapters! I just posted Ch. 23 a few days ago. I’m also planning to enter a short story contest this weekend on Wattpad so I will be sure to update you guys on that.
