Covergirl VoxBox

2 weeks ago I was sent a little box of Covergirl products – a VoxBox – from Influenster for National BFF Day. National BFF Day was last Monday, but I held off on writing this post until I had more time to try out the products.

In my box I got:

I’ve been using the mascara for a little over a week now and I like it. I don’t love it, but I don’t dislike it either. I like the consistency – I hate super wet mascaras. It doesn’t smudge or flake. It’s supposed to be waterproof and I haven’t noticed otherwise except for one day when I got caught in an absolutely torrential downpour. I do wish it offered a little more length and volume though.

The eyeliner is easy to use and super smooth. I don’t use eyeliner often at all, but I put this on my waterline a few times and it was easy to apply and doesn’t smudge.

Lastly, the lip color is a two-step product. First, you apply the lip color which goes on smoothly and opaque. It has great color payoff. Then, you wait a minute before applying the clear balm to moisturize and lock in the color. It doesn’t make my lips dry or crack, but it does have this weird feeling if I think about it too much. It’s hard to describe, but it’s almost like that feeling when your mouth is dry and your tongue feels papery. That’s how my lips feel sometimes with it, but it’s not really bothersome, just a little weird. It did last most of the day too as advertised. It stayed on while I ate, drank coffee, water, worked out, etc. without transferring. However it did finally transfer to my napkin late in the day when I was eating something really greasy.

Overall I do like the products, but I’m not extremely wow’d by any of them.

*I was sent these products complimentary, but all opinions are my own. This post also contains affiliate links.*
