July 2021 Favorites
I can’t believe it’s already the end of July. How did summer go by so fast? I have a number of favorites from this month to share with you.
Every once in a while I get in a whole brie cheese kick. This summer has been one of those phases. I buy some brie which usually will last me a good bit and a box of melba toast and it makes for the perfect snack. My cousin gave me some hot pepper jelly earlier this month when she visited after going to Cape Cod and I immediately thought it would be great with my brie and melba toast. I was right. So my first favorite of the month is brie with hot pepper jelly on melba toast.

My other food favorite this month is Raisinets. I don’t remember how it came up, but it did and I had mentioned to someone that Raisinets are my go-to movie theater snack and I hadn’t had them in forever. When I was out running errands recently I saw a bag of Raisinets by the cash register and had to get them.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a song so stuck in my head that I play it on repeat. That song for me right now is Maroon 5’s new song “Beautiful Mistakes” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. It’s so good! And I love Megan Thee Stallion’s part too.
Another entertainment favorite of mine this month was the new season of Never Have I Ever. Season 2 came out and I really liked it. The last two episodes actually had me crying! I watched a few episodes with my friend who recently moved out of the country over Zoom so it was nice to watch together and chat!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know the Olympics have been going on. I love the Olympics. I’ve done blog posts in the past about them, even. There’s been some really exciting things in the Olympics so far and some of the wins have made me emotional. Suni Lee winning gold in the women’s gymnastics all-around. The first Asian American to do so! Caeleb Dressel winning the 100m Freestyle and crying when he saw his family’s reaction on video. Lydia Jacoby winning gold in the 100m Breaststroke unexpectedly and her shocked look when she realized. Katie Ledecky winning gold in the first ever women’s 1500m Freestyle. I’m sure there will be more exciting and emotional moments to come. But the favorite I want to highlight is from the opening ceremony. There was a part in the show when the performers conformed their bodies and used some props to depict the symbols of all the Olympic sports. It was so cool! Click here to watch!
My last favorite of the month is the Spice Girls Peloton ride! It was so fun and I wanted to dance the whole time. I still need to do a few of the other Spice Girls classes like the Bike Bootcamp one.

That wraps up my July favorites! What are some things you loved this month?
