September 2021 Favorites
I can’t believe it’s about to be October and the holiday season. How did the year go by so fast? I have just a few favorites for September – I guess I just didn’t love a lot of things this month.
First up, is an oldie but a goodie – Entenmann’s Chocolate Chip Loaf Cake. It’s been a while since I’ve had this cake, but I saw it at the supermarket sitting at the end of an aisle. I had to get it! It’s so good.

My next favorite was Hannah Waddingham’s Emmys Award speech. I’m a huge Ted Lasso fan and I’m happy she won. Brett Goldstein and Jason Sudeikis’ speeches were good too, but Hannah Waddingham’s just stuck with me.
Speaking of tv shows, I am loving Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez shine in it. It seems like an unlikely ensemble, but they’re all amazing and funny on the show. If you don’t know what it is, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez live in the same New York City apartment building. They don’t start off as friends, but have seen each other in the building. They all also are huge fans of a true crime podcast. Their once distant relationship all changes when there’s a murder in the building. They decide to investigate and make their own podcast about the murder. As a side note, I love the intro!

My last favorite for the month is that I was finally about to start washing my hair in the shower like a normal person! My surgery was August 13 and for the first few days I couldn’t get my head wet at all. Then, after that I was able to wash my hair if I covered my ear which meant having my mom help me wash my hair while I sat in the tub with gauze and plastic wrap around my ear and a towel. I finally got cleared by my doctor after 20 (!) days to wash my hair normally!

That’s it for my September favorites. What are some things you loved this month?
