June 2016 Favorites
How is June over already? As some of you may already know if you’ve been keeping up with my posts here or on social media, I’m currently away on vacation in Alaska so this particular post has been written ahead of time and scheduled. I expect to be able to write some travel related posts in a few days though!
I don’t have too many favorites this month. I think the whole month was just a blur. The first half of the month was the end of the school year so I was very busy at work and then there was just a lot going on and now I’m away! So here are the few things I can definitely say I loved this month.
First up, I watched 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi not once but twice this month. The movie was so good and regardless of your political views, I think if you like action movies and/or movies based on true events then this is a phenomenal movie. John Krasinski was great in it! You will find yourself on the edge of your seat for the second half of the movie, even if you know the outcome.

Next up, this season of Game of Thrones has been fantastic from start to finish. If you haven’t watched yet, skip ahead so I don’t ruin anything for you!
Like I was saying, this season was fantastic all the way through. Jon Snow! Benjen! The Hound! Ramsay Bolton finally getting what he deserves! So much goodness this season. The “Battle of the Bastards” was amazing and deserves so many Emmys! I was so extremely happy that Sansa and Jon were finally reunited. The Stark children haven’t been back together since like season 1 or something. I also want to give a special shoutout to Missandei and Grey Worm, both of whom I don’t think get enough recognition! That scene when they were both trying to tell jokes was perfect. I love them both. I also want to say that I’ve actually grown to like Sansa this season. Back at the beginning of the series I hated her. She was so annoying with how badly she wanted to be in King’s Landing and marry Joffrey (gag) but this season she’s grown so much and is actually pretty likable. And one last thing, Lyanna Mormont might be the coolest little girl ever.

Onto some non-entertainment related favorites. My favorite candle this month has been my Bath and Bodyworks 3-wick candle in “Lakeside Sunrise”. The scent is described as “crisp waters, sunny citrus, and sweet apple dew”.
I’m a fruit lover. I eat fruits all year long, but in the summer when there are so many fresh fruits and more fruits in season, I really take advantage of it. Lately, I’ve been all about watermelon and cantaloupe! They’ve been so sweet lately, especially the cantaloupe which you can sorta see peeking out from underneath my watermelon in my bowl.
The song that’s been stuck in my head for over a week now is Fifth Harmony’s “Work from Home”. It’s so catchy! I’ve got the music video below which in my opinion is a terrible video. But if you want to give the song a listen (if you don’t know it or if you do and want to sing along) and/or laugh at how ridiculous the group looks dancing around a construction site, then click down below!
That about does it for my June favorites. Oh and I’m still majorly loving my purple under-layer for my summer hairstyle which you can see (here) if you missed it!
