St. Augustine Highlights

Today is my first day back to work since before Christmas. I’m not looking forward to it at all, but hopefully it’s a smooth and uneventful day! If you follow me on Instagram or you caught my blog posts about visiting the Get Lit Boutique and/or “reading” on the Christmas Lights Trolley Tour then you know I spent a long weekend in St. Augustine, Florida between Christmas and New Year’s. Here are some highlights!

Day 1

This was a long travel day due to flight delays. The flight is less than 3 hours to Jacksonville from New Jersey and then it’s an hour drive to St. Augustine. But due to delays, we arrived 5 hours later than we were supposed to!

Day 2

The next day, my family and I had breakfast at the hotel, walked around town a bit, got lunch at Jimmy Hula’s, played a game my cousin set up in her hotel room, went to get some chocolate at Whetstone Chocolates, took a tour of the St. Augustine Distillery, had dinner at Columbia, and then went on the Christmas Lights Trolley Tour.

Day 3

We had hotel breakfast again and since it was on/off rainy we went to Buc-ee’s since my cousins said it’s a cultural experience haha. Then after a bit of shopping and eating we went back into town to do a tour at Whetstone’s Chocolates which included a chocolate tasting. Then, my cousins and I went to Get Lit Boutique before heading back to the hotel and relaxing a bit before going out to dinner at Ice Plant for our last night.

Day 4

We just ate breakfast and then headed to the airport for our flight home which was on time!

All in all it was a nice weekend away with family. Have you ever been to St. Augustine?
