6 Book Dedications I Love
A few days ago I did a new round-up of books with first lines I love and today I’m back with another thing I love at the beginning of a book – dedications! The last time I did a round-up of book dedications that stood out to me was last March I believe so it was time for an update.

The Front Runner
“For all the women who’ve been told they should smile more. Fuck that noise. Frown all you want.”
The Geographer’s Map to Romance
“For the sky-dreaming storm-hearted ones. Sometimes peace comes in stillness, sometime it comes in a wild dance.”
Terror at the Gates
“To the women who were told they must submit to the dominance of a man.”
The Twisted Throne
“For those who still believe in love found in unexpected places, this story is for you. May these pages offer you a glimpse of adventure and the courage to chase it.”
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year
“If anyone has ever tried to gaslight you into thinking you’re the problem, congratulations! This book is for you.”
Funny Feelings
“This book is dedicated to all the women who’ve ever been told that they’re Too Much. Maybe you’re too loud, too crass, too open, too bawdy, You over share too often, say too many bad words, you’re too weird, or too emotional. To the women who, in their quiet moments, still think back on their social interactions and wonder if they really are too much, if they should feel embarrassed, or ashamed. You are fucking incredible. You are my people. Don’t you dare dilute yourself to make do yourselves more palatable. You are all heart and fire.”
Do you look at book dedications too?
