Drape-Neck Dress OOTD
Continuing with my dress outfit of the days was easy last week since we were having a major heat wave to mark the end of summer. It was incredibly humid every day and the temperatures averaged in the mid 90s every day. I don’t mind since it means I can wear dresses and skirts for that much longer to work until the fall temperatures kick in. Well, I do mind a little because by the afternoon my classroom feels suffocating and my thoughts are taken over by how I’m starting to sweat. Wiping sweat off your forehead is not exactly glamorous.
The other day I wore this drape-neck dress, which is a lightweight, very breathable dress. The pattern is a tight floral pattern in a burgundy/purple-ish color and white. The belt is in the same exact material and pattern and is slipped through the attached loops and tied.
Dress: Banana Republic Factory
Shoes: Croft and Barrow Ballet Wedges via Kohls
Watch: Anne Klein
For my makeup that day I basically wore the same products as in my Back to School look, because it’s what I put in my weekly use basket, except with varying shades for the eyes and I swapped out my Milani blush in Love Potion for BareMinerals loose blush in Joyous Jennifer. I’m using a weekly basket this school year because it makes me use things in my stash that might not get as much use and it gives me less to think about in the morning when I’m rushing around.
This upcoming week is looking to be cooler in the weather department, but I’m planning to still get in a few more days of dresses and skirts before it gets chilly.
