Photo Challenge: Symbol
Happy Photo Challenge Friday! For this past week’s challenge from The Daily Post, I decided to go with this fireworks picture for “Symbol”.
Fireworks always make me think of summer and are definitely a symbol of summer for me. It makes me think of the 4th of July, barbecues, amusement parks, ball games, concerts, etc. all of which I associate with summer for obvious reasons. This picture was taken at Epcot when I went to Disney in the spring and was taken with my phone. Can you believe it came out that clear?! I always find firework pictures to be tricky and you have to get the timing just right and remember to turn off the flash etc. I’m really happy with the way this photo turned out especially because it’s from my phone and I think it’s a great symbol for summer.

Here fireworks are more a symbol of winter, at their most explosive around the New Year, brightening the long dark nights.
