Lipstick Queen: Frog Prince

Way back in April, I learned through the lovely Tezzy from The Tezzy Files about Lipstick Queen’s new item called “Frog Prince” –  a lipstick which is aptly named as it appears to be green for all intents and purposes. After reading about it on Tezzy’s site and visiting Lipstick Queen, I knew I eventually needed to get my hands on this product.

Now before you start thinking “Why in the world would you get a green lipstick?!” and if you know me, I’m not one for bold lippies, the lipstick isn’t actually green! Believe me, if it was there is no way I would buy it or even want to buy it! I mean, I know I’m always talking about how green is my favorite color, but let’s not get crazy now.

Frog Prince comes in just this one green shade and it is described as “Magical rosebud”. And it is magic! As soon as the lipstick comes into contact with your lips, it transforms into your own personal pink shade. According to the website, “the green reacts with the warmth of your lips turning them an intense, fairy tale rose. No two pairs of lips will look the same as it adapts according to your pH and natural coloring, appearing entirely different yet beautifully flattering on everyone.” Is it becoming more clear why I wanted needed this in my life?!

I’m always fascinated by products that claim to adapt to each individual person. I’ve only worn this a few times so far, but it has lived up to its promise of hydration due to the Vitamin E and Shea Butter in it.

It applies really smoothly and doesn’t dry out my lips at all. For this photo, I only did a quick swipe on my lips and with just one pass it stained my lips a nice rosy color. I’m really happy that I picked up this product. While some products like this can be really gimmicky and not worth it, I really believe this is one of those products that is definitely worth it.
