It’s been a while since I’ve done a day to night post and over the weekend I was wearing pink crochet shorts and thought it would be a great opportunity to restyle them.
For during the day while I was out and about, going to lunch etc. I wore this super stylish and super comfy pink crochet shorts with a racerback tank.
Top: Juicy Couture via Kohls
Sandals: American Eagle
The pattern on the tank top makes me think of both tie-dye and animal print. I think it’s the combination of the color and the placement of the color splotches. To keep the look casual, I paired this outfit with my faux Birkenstocks (which by the way, I used to hate the look of this comeback trend and it suddenly grew on me and now I love them enough to pick up a pair). I provided the link for the sandals, but be careful if you pick up a pair! I bought the imitation ones, but American Eagle does sell the real deal Birkenstock sandals and it’s triple the price so just be mindful of which pair you’re after!
That same night I went out to dinner with friends and wanted to wear the same pink crochet shorts but change my top to a more night-time, less casual one.
I switched into a white camisole and a light pink, almost peachy twist-back tank. If I wasn’t going to be in a place blasting air conditioning for dinner and if I was a bit more daring I probably would’ve worn a bralette instead of the camisole underneath the twist-back tank, but I wasn’t and I’m not! I paired this nighttime look with clear & rhinestoned lined sandals and a Swarovski ring that both my best friend and I have.
So that’s how I made this one pair of shorts work for day and night in one day!
