    Yellow Floral Midi

Good morning from Hong Kong! If you read my recent posts you know I wasn’t sure if my flight on Thursday would be delayed because of a typhoon headed towards Japan. I’m happy to say that I made it to Hong Kong with just an hour delay. The dress I’m sharing today is a yellow floral midi dress, which I’ve mentioned before. I wore the black version on the blog a few weeks ago (here) and you saw it again if you read my Kyoto Day 2 post from Wednesday. I wore the yellow version on my last full day in Tokyo. The weather was rainy, but I didn’t let…

    Mini Pompom Trim Dress

Good morning from Baltimore! My family and I went for a short overnight trip to visit and eat crabs – blue claw crabs are my fav! I’ll talk about my visit in a future post, but for today I’m throwing it back to last weekend when I went to my good friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party. It was an outdoor/pool party so I wanted something comfortable to wear that was still cute and I could easily wear over my bathing suit if I chose to wear my bathing suit under my clothes for the drive home from Pennsylvania. I decided to wear this green dress with ruffles, a flounce skirt…

    Summer Sandals

Summer Sandals by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring flat sandals When you think of summer shoes the first thing that probably comes to mind are sandals and more specifically flip flops. When Polyvore had a summer sandal style challenge, I decided to go with dress sandals instead of our beloved flip flops. ***** I centered this look around the star of the show – these Sophia Webster Seraphina Angel-Wing Flat Sandals. How gorgeous are these sandals?! If you caught my Luxury Wishlist post from a few months ago, you may remember that the Sophia Webster Evangeline Angel heels were on my list. Sophia Webster sure knows how to make a beautiful and glamorous shoe!…

    Chambray + Lace Up Wedges

The lace up wedge trend has been making its way around social media this summer. In fact, I’ve seen a ton of pictures of shoes resembling mine – they could even be the same brand, who knows! I’ve had mine since the spring, but am just now getting the chance to show them off on here. For this look I decided to wear this chambray romper, which is not new to the blog (as seen here) and these nude colored lace up wedges out to dinner. Romper: LOFT | Shoes: Restricted via DSW | Purse: Michael Kors The nude color of these shoes isn’t available anymore, but click here for other colors. These…

    Scarf Print Maxi Dress

In case you didn’t know, I love maxi dresses. They are super comfortable and stylish. Nice and breezy for the hot weather, but they keep my legs warm when you’re indoors and the air conditioning is blasting. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a sneak peek of this look already. I posted it two weeks ago for a link-up I was taking part in. Dress: Express I love the color combination in this scarf print maxi dress. The shades of pinks and purples go together so well and really show off the print. This maxi dress, like so many these days, has the attached slip inside ending above…

    Tropical Harem Pants

Today I’m sharing a super casual look that is perfect for those summer days when you’re in a lounge-y, lazy mood but want to still wear something bright and colorful for the season. I’m wearing head to toe American Eagle in this look with this flamingo top and tropical harem pants. The print of these harem pants is “Splash” but I’m calling them tropical because of the color combination on them and the abstract swirl of palm trees, clouds, ocean/sky, sand (?) etc. The flamingo top works perfectly with these pants since they pick up on the very subtle coral/peach shade on the pants. Now I feel like I need to…

    1 Maxi Dress – 3 Ways

Earlier this summer I picked up this maxi dress that I loved at first sight. Not only was the print pretty but when I tried it on the material was so comfortable so I knew I had to have it. But what really sealed the deal was that it can be worn not one, but three ways! I wore it this past weekend and decided to take some pictures of the different ways it can be worn — as a maxi dress, midi dress, and maxi skirt. Now, if I was taller it would look more like a midi dress but I’m short so it doesn’t quite look like a midi dress on…

    Romper to the Rescue

People love rompers. I love rompers. But aside from the fact that they are usually super cute looking, I have a style secret to share with you. Rompers are the best thing ever for when you want to look really put together and that you put some effort into your look when you really didn’t do much at all. Seriously, think about it. Most of the time when someone wears a romper they get compliments about how nice they look and really it probably took the person a couple of seconds to step into this one piece. Earlier this week, I wore this romper out to dinner. I find it…

    Unsure of Dress Code?

Happy weekend! I mentioned in a post earlier this week (the one talking about how I wished I had a pool in my backyard) that I was at a workshop for work all week. So the workshop was held at a local county college. In an email a few days before the workshop started, I received an email from the event runner and all she said in terms of dress code was to wear layers because temperatures may vary in the building. This did not help me at all. I had no idea what to wear. Here’s what was going through my mind – on one hand it’s summer time,…

    Comeback Trend: Sleeveless Cardigan

I regularly go through my clothes and pick out things to add to my donation pile. These are usually items that don’t fit anymore or that I don’t wear anymore. There are always some items that I have trouble parting with though, as I’m sure some of you can relate to. Even though I may not have worn an item for a long time, part of me just can’t let it go. And I’m not talking about those pieces we hold onto for sentimental reasons –  I’m talking about those items that we go “But I might wear it again.” That was the case with this sleeveless cardigan. I got…
