I’m back with another YouTube video! Last week, I wrote about seeing Wicked on Broadway, which I absolutely loved. The day was great with beautiful weather, an awesome Broadway show, and good food. The places we chose to eat are quite popular so we had to wait in lines just to get in to the places, but they were definitely worth it.
My friend and I started the day off on the train into the city. The train was pretty crowded for a Saturday morning so we had to stand for the whole ride, but I’ve had to do that many times on the train before so it’s nothing new. Luckily, the ride is less than an hour and when you’re just chatting with a friend the time goes by quickly.
Once we got into the city, we started walking towards the direction of the theater and kept an eye out for a place for a little food before our 2pm show. We stopped at a deli and ate just enough to tide us over until after the show when we had 2 more food stops planned.
After the show, we went to Milk Bar – the bakery that ties into the popular restaurant Momofuku. There was a line up outside the shop and funnily enough the line was for the bakery but if you wanted to actually eat dinner you could go right in! So we waited in line and when it was my turn to order I bought a few cookies to take home and a Cereal Milk Soft Serve. Yes, that’s right, this soft serve tastes like the milk left at the bottom of your cereal bowl! It’s got cornflakes lining it too. You might be wondering why we did dessert before dinner – it all came down to logistics really.
Our next, and last, food stop of the night was to Pokéworks, which is a Hawaiian/Japanese quick service place specializing in Poké bowls and sushi burritos! I’m planning to do a full review on it in the near future so be on the lookout for that. This place also had a line out the door and because it is a teeny tiny place they only allow a certain amount of people in at a time to order. Again, definitely worth it!
