Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush

Have you tried any of the foundation sprays out there? I remember first becoming aware of them 4 years ago when Judy from ItsJudyTime had that very funny video of spraying the foundation on her face. Since then, the sprays have improved (according to all the videos and reviews I have seen over the years) so I finally picked one up for myself.

I got the Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush which retails for $28, which is pretty comparable to most middle of the road (luxury wise) foundations. I’ve heard that this is a dupe for the Dior’s Airflash Spray Foundation which is $62, so I went into this hoping that this $28 Sephora version would be an awesome and much more affordable alternative. So what did I think? Keep reading to find out!

The bottle is sleek and slim. I got the shade “Light”, which is the 4th shade from the lightest shade out of 10 offered. First, I shake the bottle for a few seconds and then I spray it directly onto a brush because spraying it onto your face just seems so messy and like a disaster waiting to happen.

The foundation is so lightweight and if it weren’t for me being able to visibly see the foundation spraying onto my brush and the coldness when I press my brush to my face I would hardly be able to see the product being buffed into my skin. It dries almost instantly and feels almost powdery when I touch my skin immediately after applying. When I first started using it, I was actually wondering if any product was actually transferring to my face because I could hardly see anything. But, after a few minutes I noticed that my skin was looking pretty flawless! I think it takes a few minutes to sink in maybe?

To say that I’m impressed is an understatement. This foundation has quickly become my favorite that I’ve ever used. It looks incredibly natural on the skin and you can still see your skin. It won’t hide all your blemishes or freckles, but somehow it still creates this super smooth, flawless base.

This picture was taken yesterday after I’d been wearing the foundation for about 5 hours already and hours later, it was still looking good so the longevity is top notch. In fact, when I removed my makeup late last night it was still looking pretty fresh! As you can see, my skin still looks natural as my freckles are still visible, but my face just looks smooth and imperfections have been blurred. This foundation is definitely worth the $28 and with this working so well, who needs a $62 high-end version?
