Striped Wrap Dress
When I think of wrap dresses, I immediately think of Diane von Furstenberg. She created and made famous the wrap dress. Wrap dresses are perfect for work and today I’m sharing a grey and black striped one I wore to work a few weeks ago. This dress isn’t the classic wrap dress style, but instead only wraps on the bottom instead of the whole dress being a wrap – if that makes sense.

Since this wrap dress is only on the skirt part of the dress it makes it more practical and easy to wear to work because I’m not worrying about the tie or making sure it’s not getting loose leading it to be too revealing on top. The dress has the tiniest bit of stretch in the material, which always makes clothing more comfortable.
The grey and black in this dress makes the dress seem dressier or more formal. I usually go for a business casual look for work so this is just a bit dressier than my normal day to day work wear. I wore this to work the day that I had to stay late for Back to School Night so I felt it warranted a more formal look. However, the color scheme and cut might make it seem dressier, but really it is so lightweight and comfortable that it feels like a casual dress. So this is really the ideal dress because it looks like you’re ready for a board meeting but you feel completely comfortable and like you’re walking around in a dress that you could lounge around in.
