Halloween is a little over a week away and we still haven’t settled into a regular fall weather pattern yet. It’s been so weird. One day it feels like fall, the next it feels like summer again. In fact, it was so warm when I got out of work yesterday and when I went out to dinner my friend and I ate outside. Today it’s supposed to be chilly and very windy so that’s not even pleasant fall weather! Hopefully it will turn out to be nice though because my plans for today consist primarily of being outside.
Despite the wacky weather, I am trying to fully embrace fall. So today I’m sharing a recent look that has fall colors but also suits the moderate temperatures. I love this dot lace peplum top. The dot lace detailing creates such an interesting look to this otherwise standard white peplum top. I paired the top with light green pixie chinos and peep toe wedges with a brown and tan print.
Top: LOFT | Pants: Old Navy | Shoes: DSW | Purse: Coach
The design of this dot lace detailing is so fun and creates such a tailored look to this top. Peplums tend to be either fitted or boxy/loose and this one seems to be somewhere in the middle. It is a bit flowy, but the detailing creates a look, or at least the illusion of a more fitted look. The pixie chino pants from Old Navy are so comfortable. I can’t find them on the Old Navy website – I bought them in-store towards the end of the summer – but here are similar ones from the site. These pants are so popular that I actually wore them to work yesterday and my friend at work was wearing the exact same pants! Same color and everything.
I hope you’re experiencing better fall weather where you are!
