Photo Challenge: It’s Not This Time of Year Without…

I can’t believe it’s December! This past week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “It’s Not This Time of Year Without…” For my whole life my family has done Christmas decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving, much like others in the country. It seems immediately after Thanksgiving is over we find it acceptable to switch gears to Christmas and I’m all for it. So for my photo challenge response I took a picture of some Christmas decoration details, because it wouldn’t be this time of year without them.

In the photo you can see my Christmas tree in the background, a few ornaments, and part of my stocking which I took off my fireplace mantel for the photo. This stocking is a few years old and I used a glitter glue pen to write my name on it. Pretty impressive that the glitter has held up so well after a few years!
