Crawfish Jambalaya
Let me take you on a trip down memory lane. I took french in school from middle school through high school and even for a year in college. When I was in middle school – I think 7th or 8th grade, my french teacher took us on a field trip to a restaurant for lunch – Old Bay a New Orleans inspired Cajun-Creole restaurant. Coincidentally, 10 years later I would be frequenting this restaurant for the bar and live music while in college. Anyway, while I was there I got the jambalaya for my meal and it was so good! I immediately went home after school and told my mom that I had eaten jambalaya and it was delicious and I wanted it again. At this time those Zatarain commercials were on TV all the time so I asked my mom to buy me some from the grocery store. To this day I love the Zatarain mix, but I wanted to try to make my own jambalaya one day not too long ago so I did some research online, pulled from a few different recipes, and made this crawfish jambalaya.
I made a short video for you to follow along. Click below!
I used:
- long grain rice
- chicken
- crawfish
- kielbasa
- diced tomatoes
- chicken broth
- green bell pepper
- celery
- onion
- garlic
- bay leaves

I hope you enjoyed this post!
